Oh my gosh...I am SO excited to tell you guys about this app that was introduced to me.
First off, let me start by saying that I get a lot of random emails from people who want me to review their products. A lot of the time, it's not stuff that I'm interested in reviewing. Usually, when I get an email from someone interested in me doing a review, I"ll flag it until there are a few of them to go through and then will do it as one big batch. Pick this one, discard this one, etc. Sometimes, I'll even ask friends' opinions about whether or not they'd be interested in seeing what a particular product or company is about.
So, when I recieved an email from Caleb at QuickFlics, it headed into my "flagged" group where it sat. Now I realize, that email sat WAY longer than it should have. This is seriously a genius idea!

QuickFlics is a phone-to-DVD delivery service.
If you're like me, you have a phone FULL TO THE BRIM with adorable little video clips of your kiddos.
And if you're like me, you have no idea what you're supposed to do with those videos.
I mean, honestly, who has the time to sit and upload all of those videos onto a computer (this is assuming you HAVE a home compter, which a lot of people don't now that we're in the smart phone world), then transfer them all onto separate DVDs.
Trust me, I tried it once, it's awful.
So my videos have sat, and sat, and sat....and now over half of them are in the "cloud" which I'm not even sure where that is.
QuickFlics is a free app that you download onto your smart phone.
You upload your videos to the app directly from your phone (similar to GrooveBook for photos), and then QuickFlics will send you a DVD in the mail of a compilation of all of the videos you uploaded.
I recieved my first DVD this week, and it's seriously so cool! We watched it over and over and over again because Mason though it was so neat to see himself on the big screen TV being a goon.
I know what you're thinking....Oh, that sounds like a great idea! But it's probably going to be expensive, and I'm a parent, so I have little to no money for "extras".
Well, you're wrong.
Sorry, but you are.
QuickFlics has two options for you to decide on how you'd like to receive your videos.
1) You can set up a monthly subscription in which you upload as many videos as you'd like per month and they will send you a DVD every month for as long as you subscribe (you can cancel any time). That option costs $7.99 per month.
2) You can set up a request for a one-time DVD. You load up all of your videos from your phone into the QuickFlics app and they will send you out a one-time DVD of those videos for $9.99.
Let's be honest....you paid more than $9.99 for that devilish Cailou DVD that's sitting under your Christmas tree, and your kid will only be interested in that for about 3 months (hopefully, for your sake). We're talking LIFETIME MEMORIES here people!!!
There are other companies that provide their services...but here's a little breakdown of the comparisons:

Not only is QuickFlics the most inexpensive (by a LONG shot), but also the only service that allows you to upload directly from your phone...taking out the middle man (and the flash drive) from the equation.
Oh! I think it's also important to mention that QuickFlics does NOT edit your videos at all. What you upload is what you will get, so if you upload a crappy quality video....you get what I'm saying.
Also, they have some tips to help you get the BEST video out there for your upload.
To be honest, the videos that I uploaded were loooong before I had read any of these tips, so I 100% had my camera in the up-position while filming all of them and it still looks fine, it's just you don't get the wide-screen effect that way.

And now....the best news of all.
For Little Bird, Little Nest readers, QuickFlics has offered a FREE DVD of your phone videos.
I mean...c'mon. This is a no-brainer.
Download the app (QuickFlics), upload ALLLLLLLL of those videos that have just been sitting on your phone, and receive a DVD of those videos in 1 week, FOR FREE (less s/h). If you ask me...not bad timing to maybe order a little something extra for the Grandparents??
You'll need to sign up for the monthly subscription in order to get this freebie, but don't worry! If you hate the DVD (which you won't), you can easily cancel the subscription BEFORE they charge you for next month's, so you'll still be getting your DVD for free. AND if you LOVE your DVD (which you will) you'll already be signed up for the most economical option, which is receiving 1 DVD per month for $7.99.
So, here are your steps.
Go to your app store/play store/whatever it's called on your phone.
Search for "QuickFlics".
Download the app (the app is free).
Sign up for the monthly subscription.
Enter your free DVD code:
Start uploading your videos.
Enjoy your DVD.
Hope you guys enjoy this service as much as I do!
XOXO
